Hat - Armourfast / Industrie 1/72 (England / USA)
These kits are simple to build, but require some reworking and
'detailing' to upgrade them to really nice kits.

"Renault FT-17"- Review by Frank Mostert from Germany
Hät has released 2 versions of the Ft-17, the one with the 37mm gun and the one with the mg.
I think the kit is well in the dimensions and top according his price (2tanks = 7,95 Euro!). The main problem of the armorfast-kits, the terrible simplyfing of the tracks is NOT at this kit. The tracks seems to be o.k., according of my photos of the German "Beutepanzer" at the
museum of Overloon.
Nevertheless there are 2 problems of the kit:
I don't´ now the translation, but the construktion at the end of the tank (to cross over trenches) is not exactly. The end is much to low. I think there is no possibility to clear it.
The second difference is on the left side. There must be 2 holders for a box or a.e.
Interesting is the fact, that this little tank is mainly unknown, but
from 1916 to 1944/45 he was all over the world in service. For example
in the armies of France, Belgium, USA, Japan, Russia, Poland, Finland,
Spain and Brazil. He was in action at so different places like the
dessert during the "Rif-Wars" against the arabs, Eastern Europe during
the Polish-Russian-War and the Russian Civil War and, last but not
least, at all theatres of the World War 1 and 2. His turrets were often
installed in all kind of pill-boxes and coastal-defences.
