This is a re-boxing of the Colibri kit with new decals and a set of photo etched details. You get the same finely moulded plastic parts, with good interior detail plus the extras provided on the etched fret...windscreen with wipers, radiator grill, brake pedal, clutch pedal and accellerator pedal, spare wheel bracket, etc. The new decal sheet has markings for five vehicles...four Soviet and one Polish.

GAZ-AA and GAZ-AAA
These kits of the Russian built Ford Model A trucks were originally produced by Komintern. However, they have not been available for the past couple of years and had become highly sort after. ACE has now re-issued them with the addition of decals and a small etched fret (containing a number of small details). Both kits are the same, having optional parts to build either version. There are 70 crisp, clean, 'long run' (metal mould) injection moulded parts including an 11 part rear tray. There's a one piece chassis with separate axles, suspension and drive shaft. The engine is moulded as the bottom half only but with a separate radiator. The cabin is fully fitted out with a bench seat, steering wheel, instrument dash, gear stick, hand brake, foot brake and clutch. There are no clear windows or windscreen. The decal sheet has markings for three trucks.

LAV-25 'Piranha'
Pretty much the same kit as the LAV-R but with a gun turret...and you also get a small photo etched fret. 113 short run injection moulded parts, eight rubber tyres, the etched fret and a small set of decals (makings for four vehicles...3x USMC and 1x KFOR NATO) make up this kit. As with the 'R' version, detail is very good...top and bottom ...and while there is no interior detail, the turrret does have optional position hatches and a moveable gun. All the upper hull accessories are still included...jerry cans, rucksacks, tools etc.
LAV-R
The LAV-R kit consists of 128 crisp, clean, short run injection moulded parts (with good raised detail), 8 rubber tyres and a small set of decals with markings for three vehicles...USMC 1992, USMC 1994 and the Australian army 2nd. cavalry reg. (during evaluation trials). Detail is very good ... with separate rudders, propellers, axles, suspension arms, brake drums and wheels, underneath. On top there's a detailed crane, machine gun and mount...and a variety of accessories including jerry cans, rucksacks, a shovel, axe and crow bar.
LAV-C
This is the 'command vehicle' version so the kit is basically the same as the LAV-25 without the turret. There are two optional position hatches (no interior detail)...the front one having a machine gun mounted on. There are no etched parts (as in the LAV-25) but you still get separate rubber tyres and a set of decals with markings for two U.S.M.C. and one U.S. 'stabilization forces' (Bosnia 1997) vehicles. The kit has 114 short run, injection moulded parts and eight rubber tyres.
